Jon has 12+ years of experience in the healthcare arena, both on the client side as well as the advertising and communications side. Before entering healthcare, Jon worked and studied in Japan for a total of 10 years.
Jon joined Pfizer pharmaceuticals in 1999 and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the field before joining global marketing at Pfizer’s headquarters in New York. As a Senior Marketing Manager Jon was responsible for Japan and Asia for two of Pfizer’s blockbuster drugs, Cardura and Viagra. In 2006 Jon left Pfizer to join Palio Communications, a healthcare advertising agency that is part of the inVentiv network. There Jon spent 3 years as SVP, Client Services, where he significantly expanded Palio’s business, before being promoted to SVP, Director of Brand Planning. Jon has experience in a wide range of pharmaceutical categories including cardiology, urology, CNS, renal and oncology supportive care.
Jon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in International Business/Marketing from the University of Chicago. Jon has also completed an intensive Japanese language course at Nagoya Gakuin University, passed the ikkyu shiken, and completed an exchange program where he studied Economics at Waseda University.
